My personal guide to super easy hairstyles for the summer that are quick, cute, and great for hot, humid days.
Bandanas can be worn in so many different ways. For this look, I just used a 1″ curling wand to give my hair some waves and tied this bandana to hold my hair out of my face.
Scrunchies are great for your hair because, unlike regular ponytail holders, they don’t do much damage to your hair. Also, they are cuter on your wrist ;). Since they don’t hold all of my hair, I just left front pieces of my hair hanging down and pulled my hair back in a low, loose pony for this look.
3.) Boxer Braids
I have been LOVING braids this year. Maybe it’s because Khloe Kardashian looks so good with them and I secretly think I look like her. But, braids are such an easy way to avoid putting heat on your hair. Especially tight boxer braids that leave no hairs hanging loose. I love braiding my hair after I get out of the shower or at night so I can sleep in them overnight and have 70’s rockstar wavy hair the next day. If you’re not used to braiding your own hair, this will take some getting used to, but there are tons of tutorials on YouTube that will help you practice.
4.) Hair Scarf
A slicked-back, snatched ponytail has been my go-to look for almost a year. It’s great for days when I don’t have time to fix my hair or when I do fix it and hate the way it looks. Adding any kind of scarf to a pony makes it even better. This is such a cute look for laying by the pool or for a summer picnic.
5.) Low Bun with Hairpin
I found this hairpin on sheinside.com for less than $5 and had to buy it. They have tons of cute hair accessories and more pins on their site that are all affordable. This adds so much to a low bun and would also be cute with your hair down and tucked behind your ear with the pin added.
Any headband can be used for this look. It is perfect for the days when your hair is flat or you want to wear it down, but don’t want to fool with it being in your face all day.
7.) Wet Tousled Waves
This is the easiest and cutest after-pool hair. I literally used my damp pool hair and added Oribe mouse and walked out the door. This mouse also smells AMAZING.
I love experimenting with my hair and watching tutorials on different ways to style it. These looks are extremely simple and aren’t damaging to your hair.
