Gratitude Challenge Week 2

Hello everyone! I am continuing the gratitude challenge this week and writing about 7 more things I’m thankful for. Again, I will attach the challenge at the end of this post for those of you that wish to participate as well.

  1. Your Skills

I’ve honestly always thought that I have no talents. I’m not very athletic, I don’t dance, sing, or play an instrument, can’t draw, etc. So, I’ve never thought about skills that I have. The only thing I pride myself on is being really good at putting outfits together. It may sound stupid, but that is something I truly enjoy. I also have a strong eye for photography and am able to be artistic through that. With writing for the paper and blogging some, I have also come to find out that I am skilled in writing. Because of these skills, I have been able to create this blog to share and connect with all of you and I am thankful for that.

  1. Your Mentor

I don’t know if I necessarily have someone that I would consider a mentor, so I’m going to give a shout out to my friend Rachel for this one. Rachel and I have been good friends since high school and she started her blog, Loving Lace a little bit after I started Redeeming Beauty. This has been such a blessing because her and I get together more often and are able to create content and work together. I love our time working together and it helps me out so much.

  1. Friends

I have some of the best friends in the world. My best friend Shannon and I have literally been bff since we started elementary school. My boyfriend, Kirk was my best friend before we started dating. Rachel, Kameron, Brooke, Courtney, Hunter, Mariah, Chelsie, Lisa, Janci, Macey, Amy, Emily, Christine S., Christine O., Meggy, Tina, Debra, Sarah, Delaney, Eric, Chris, Eden, Hollie, and so many more people are such good friends to me. We may not see each other all the time, but they’re always there for me and I am so thankful for all of them.

  1. Your Country / Veteran

I am beyond thankful for our country, freedoms, and the people that serve to protect these freedoms. My great uncle Bob was a veteran and he is the BEST MAN I KNOW. I love him so much and am so thankful to have him in my life and thankful for his service to our country.

  1. A Parent

This is an easy one :). My mommy is the BEST PERSON IN THE WORLD. She supports me no matter what I want to do, always encourages me, is nice to EVERYONE, and is the best example of a Christian. Thank you for all you do for me and for everyone else, mommy!

  1. Music

I LOVE MUSIC. ESPECIALLY this time of the year. Christmas is my favorite genre of music! I would listen to it all year round. It makes me so happy and puts me in such a good mood. I am also thankful for stations like KLOVE that play uplifting Christian music for people to listen to and hear about the Lord.

  1. The Best Listener You Know

This one is tough. I wouldn’t really consider anyone I’m close to a “bad listener”. So for this one I am thankful for Kirk, Shannon, and my mom because they are who I talk to the most.

I hope you all have a great week and count your blessings 🙂
