Favorite Trends for SS19

I am so over this cold weather and rainy season. I usually hate winter clothing, and most of all hate wearing coats / jackets, but, this season hasn’t been too bad since I have been loving all of the styles and trends that came along with it. With that being said, I am still ready to ditch the winter gear and move on to spring. There are so many trends projected for this coming season that I am excited to wear and share with you all. Of course, with the good trends comes some bad trends. I am still not a fan of the “dad” sneakers that everyone is wearing, as well as biker shorts and neon. I am trying my best to only buy pieces that are more useful and that I can get a lot of wear out of, therefore I tend to stay away from the “trends”. This is why you won’t see me wearing any of the above trends that I just mentioned because I don’t see things like neon being around for the long haul. However, the trends I want to share with you today, are classic, timeless, and will only add to your wardrobe.

I am OBSESSED with neutral colors, especially browns of every shade. Camel, beige, creme, etc. are all incredible and versatile colors to add to your wardrobe. The beige trend is so chic, elegant, and timeless and every piece you invest in will be something you can hold onto for years to come. You can layer these pieces, pair them with other shades of beige, pair them with color and prints, and so on. The possibilities are endless.

Animal Print

Animal print is so fun! I love all of the skirts, boots, coats, jeans, and more that brands have been selling lately! Although it is a “trend”, animal print is always going to be around and I see this style staying well through 2019.

Utility / Trench

I LOVE structured clothing. Menswear, blazers, trousers, are all essentials in any closet. This new utility trend just takes that to the next level. These one-piece jumpsuits, cargo pants, jackets, and belts are a great feminine take on a masculine style. The utility fit is flattering for many body types, and the trench coat trend is something anyone can wear!

Pearls and Seashells

Of course, pearls are such a timeless accessory. A pearl necklace is the epitome of elegance. However, there are so many new things happening with pearls right now, from pearl handbags, to tops, even down to details in straps. Seashells are also having a moment right now and being a beach girl at heart, I am all here for it. I can’t wait to get my hands on some dainty seashell necklaces to bring some summer to my looks.

These are just a preview of some upcoming trends that have caught my eye so far. All of these will be great pieces to transition from dreary, winter weather to warmer, sunny days this spring.
