Shelbyville, KY, just roughly 30 minutes outside of Louisville, KY is home to Jeptha Creed Distillery and Talon Winery. It’s a cute small town with plenty of southern charm. This past weekend, I got to attend a beautiful wedding and reception hosted at Jeptha Creed Distillery.
I’m very fortunate to have friends from many different periods of my life. One of which being my time working in college. I worked on campus at the recreation center for 3 out of my 4 years at the University of Kentucky. While working there, I made lifelong friends who now all live in different parts of the country.
Lindsey and Matt invited all of us to join them in celebrating their wedding, and I am so happy to say that all of us were able to attend. We had people from New Jersey, Alabama, South Carolina, Chicago, and Florida traveling to reunite for this special occasion. Since there was a lot of us, we needed the perfect place to stay, and we found just that.
The Saddlebred Suites in downtown Shelbyville were everything we needed for our weekend retreat. It is newly renovated and was in pristine condition. The loft style apartments had exposed brick, Kentucky themed decor, 3 beds, a pullout couch, and 3 full bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, a Keurig and everything else we needed to cook brunch on Saturday. The whole place was sparkling clean, had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, cleaning supplies, and anything else we needed. Not only was the suite amazing, but it was in the middle of downtown within walking distance to stores and restaurants and just a short drive to the wedding venue.
The entire weekend was amazing. Our stay was comfortable, the wedding was beautiful, and spending time with my friends was priceless.
